Italy

What can you do in November? Let’s face it, it’s hardly the most exciting month in Scandinavia. In 1999 I took a train to Italy and spent a couple of weeks. The following year I got myself a camera before heading south again and by now I’ve completed four Italian tours.

The highlight of each trip has been a visit in Taormina, Sicily, where I spent a week with my parents in 1973. Since I’m travelling by train, I also take the opportunity of making a stop on the way south and on the way home again. This has given me chances to stay in Florence, Rome, Venice, Naples and Verona.
